Date: 26 February 2018

Woman Care Trust successfully celebrated their 32nd Senior Ladies Day on 26th February 2018 at WCT Learning Centre. About 50-60 ladies attended the event. As usual we started our function with reciting holy prayer “Chaupai Sahib Path” Prayers provide peace of Mind –Prayer improves our spiritual practice, enhances our chanting, and reduces ego. Praying is extremely useful in giving you the strength to deal with day-to-day stress. It offers you some quiet time alone, where you can think and gives you the opportunity to focus on yourself and reduce mental stress. After the prayers ladies did some exercise under the supervision of yoga instructor Paramjit Kaur. Exercise has countless benefits for those of all ages, including a healthier heart, stronger bones and improved flexibility. For seniors, there are additional benefits, like the fact that regular exercise reduces the risk of chronic diseases, lowers the chance of injury and can even improve one’s mood. After that refreshment of Tea and Indian snack “Samosa” and Indian sweets were served to the ladies. After the tea break Naturopathy session by Dr Kamal was organized to help the ladies in taking care of their health. The session was delivered by Dr Kamal providing information on benefits of eating grapes and ways to get rid of many diseases. After the session ladies played some traditional games. These games boosts Cognitive Abilities. Improves physical health, increases socialization, accelerates healing and recuperation.
