Waiheke Trip 19th January

Woman Care Trust organised bus & Ferry trip to Waiheke attended by 98 ladies of our organisation on 21st January 2019. Waiheke Island is the most populated and second-largest island in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand. The ferry terminal in Matiatia Bay at the western end is 21.5 km from the central-city terminal in Auckland. The tour started with drop off the ladies from WCT Centre to Ferry Terminal, Quay Street to catch up the Ferry for Waiheke. There were many ladies from the group who got this opportunity to travel in a Ferry for the first time with their friends. All the ladies had great fun in the ferry by capturing beautiful clicks of the fantastic sights, shared their food and were blessed with the steady sea and shining sun allowing them to sit on   the deck to watch the world go by.

After 40 minute of ferry ride group reached Matiatia ferry terminal from where Charter coach was arranged by Woman Care Trust to take the ladies for Waiheke Explorer Tour y. The bus took the ladies to Palm Beach where ladies relaxed and look out the beautiful sights.

After 1.5 hours of the sightseeing tour coach dropped the ladies to Oneroa village where ladies got the time to have lunch, accompany their friends in shopping and relax down in beach water. All the ladies had great fun in moving their steps on Punjabi folk dance – Gidha. It was fun filled trip where ladies shared jokes, sang songs, danced, shared food, captured beautiful moments spent & got relaxed from boredom and stress of daily life routine.

In the evening Charter coach dropped ladies back to ferry terminal from Oneroa village to catch up the ferry for going back to Auckland. All the ladies were very thankful to the Woman Care Trust in organising this trip, as they got an opportunity to navigate new place in New Zealand, sightseeing and communicate with more people. At the end of the day, all the ladies exchanged their numbers with each other and went back with the beautiful memories of the fruitful time spent in exploring New Zealand, developing social network , get rid of depression & loneliness.
