Vaisakhi – 14 April 2020

This year because of lock-down Woman Care Trust also celebrated Vaisakhi through Zoom with the members of the trust. Vaisakhi is a historical, religious and spring harvest festival celebrated on 14th April every year. The programme started with reciting religious prayer as it is a religious festival everyone had cooked their religious food and shared their stories of crops harvesting back in India. As this was the first time experience of virtual conference for all the members, they were very excited to see everyone at the time of lockdown through Zoom video call. Afterwards everyone shared their views on Covid-19 and what all they are doing to coping with the lockdown. . No matter how we celebrated Vaisakhi whether online or at the centre the main motive was to keep all the members involved and connected to each other. As the celebration comes to an end everyone shared jokes and songs and had lots of fun, and laughter everywhere which is another step for Woman Care Trust in achieving their goal of Woman’s Wellbeing and Community Development.
