Trip to Piha Beach

Woman Care Trust organized bus trip to Piha on 11th January 2020. The trip started from the Centre attended by 100 ladies. The journey began with reciting religious prayer and then ladies got the chance to sing songs, share jokes and play musical game-Antakshari .Ladies love indulging in this game and had lot of fun playing it.

About a 40 minute drive from Auckland Piha feels a world away. Ladies spent wonderful time looking to the excellent views and relaxed their mind & body by lazing down in the well-known black sand beach. The ladies spent quality time at the beach and had lot of fun playing kabaddi on the beach and the ladies at the time of the play were filled with full of energy & excitement.

Ladies even performed Punjabi Folk dance Gidha which attracted other community groups present at the beach as well and they joined their dance.

All the members had wonderful time looking into the beach and captured beautiful photos and videos of the fun with the friends on the trip. Everyone had their lunch sitting on the grass and enjoying the sun. The bus moved back and reached Auckland bringing back the members with the beautiful memories from the trip. The main motive of the trip was to enhance, promote and foster culture links and communication between the India and rest of the New Zealand, relieving poverty to recent immigrants to New Zealand by creating social network. All ladies made more friends at the trip and came to know more about New Zealand surroundings.
