The Woman Care Trust successfully organised its Annual Cultural Event, WCT Vaisakhi Mela 2026, on 18th April 2026 at Due Drop Events Centre. The event was attended by more than 2,000 ladies and was widely appreciated for its vibrant atmosphere, cultural richness, and excellent organisation.
The programme commenced with a religious prayer, creating a respectful and positive beginning. This was followed by a series of energetic and colourful performances, including Gidha and Bhangra by children, youth, and senior ladies, as well as tribal belly dance and Bollywood performances. These performances showcased the talent, confidence, and dedication of participants across all age groups.
The event also featured a variety of stalls offering cultural clothing, jewellery, and accessories. These stalls provided a valuable platform for local women entrepreneurs to promote their businesses, connect with the community, and generate income.
Participants were given a unique opportunity to perform in front of a large audience, helping build confidence and encouraging the younger generation to stay connected with their cultural roots. The event played a significant role in promoting cultural awareness and pride within the community.
