Woman Care Trust successfully celebrated their 43rd Senior Ladies Day on 27th May 2019 at Learning Centre. About 150-160 ladies attended the event. As usual we started our function with reciting holy prayer “Chaupai Sahib Path”. After prayers ladies performed some exercise to warm themselves and keep their minds & body healthy. After performing exercise ladies had tea break and this is the time when they get change to make new friends, chat with each other and know more about their surroundings. There was another form of exercise for the ladies at the function by dancing at their favourite Bollywood songs and express their happiness. After the wonderful performance by the ladies on the songs they played some traditional games. These games bring smiles and laughter among the participants which help the ladies in overcoming depression and loneliness from their life. WCT then distributed prizes to the game winners to keep them motivated and feel energetic. After playing the games team of the show “Meera” was present at the function. WCT supported the team of Meera and provided them a platform to invite our ladies to witness the Indian love story “Meera” for the first time in New Zealand. WCT had arranged for the ladies – Indian curry red kidney beans with roti, rice and desert. Ladies spent quality time at the function by dancing on Punjabi songs and all the ladies witnessed another successful celebration of the Seniors Ladies Day along with the cultural festivals celebration which is another step for Woman Care Trust in achieving their goal of Woman’s Wellbeing and Community Development.
