Tour to Rotorua

Historical Tour to Rotorua on 29th November 2014

WCT organized free bus tour to Rotorua and took 50 old ladies with us. We started the trip from Kolmar Road with 20 ladies at 8 am and then picked another 30 ladies from Takanini Temple .We stopped at Hamilton Gardens for breakfast which was provided free from Mr. Charanjit Singh (Sikh Society) and Manjit Singh (NRI Sabha).All Ladies had Gondola Ride and enjoyed it .Then we all went to Rotorua Lake where they had free lunch which was provided by Takanini temple (Supreme Sikh Society) organized by Daljit Singh. After lunch all ladies start dancing Punjabi folk dance which was later on joined by English couple.

It show that how New Zealand is multicultural and everybody here respect all the different culture. After this we all went to see the Government Gardens and hot water baths. On the way back refreshment was provide free from Indo Kiwi Travel. We came back to Auckland 8pm.All together it was a very Success full trip and all the old ladies exchanges the phone numbers, made some friends and some ladies came and joined our classes. Our motive behind this tour was to reduce loneliness, social isolation and depression, to promote networking and to participate in culture activities was achieved successfully.
