Rotorua Trip

 Woman Care Trust organised free 2 x buses to Rotorua for 90 ladies of Indian Community. The Journey started with reciting religious prayer by the ladies in the bus and also enjoyed singing many Punjabi folk songs. The first destination of the tour was “Kuirau Park ” , which is in the heart of Rotorua is New Zealand’s only geothermal public park and features beautiful gardens , a crater lake , mud pools ,hot springs , thermal foot baths . After eating breakfast in the beautiful garden, all the ladies enjoyed the lovely surroundings and soaked their feet in the remarkable footbaths. Then all of them danced on Punjabi folk songs in a group and captured beautiful moments.

Next stop of the tour was “Redwood Forest”. This was the excellent opportunity for the ladies to gather information on the history and culture surrounding the Whakarewarewa Forest, the variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, diverse range of exotic tree species, mix of native undergrowth, panoramic views, and proximity to lakes, thermal areas and the city centre have made The Redwoods & Whakarewarewa Forest one of Rotorua’s most spectacular natural assets and one of the city’s greatest treasures. The Redwood Treewalk was adventures experience for the ladies, and being in a group with other friends they got courage to walk on the track .They all had wonderful experience in walking on the track and exploring the forest area.

After seeing the forest area, bus moved to take the ladies to “Blue Lake”. The Blue Lake, as it’s commonly known in Rotorua, is one of our more popular lakes. All the ladies shared their lunch on the lake side and had great fun in the water.

The Government Gardens was the last stop of the tour, it was perfect place for the ladies to relax and enjoy the beauty of Rotorua City. The ladies spent their time with the beautiful flowers and captured lots of moments of their fun with the friends.

After a long day, all the ladies were tired but at the same time went back with the beautiful memories of the fruitful time spent in exploring New Zealand, developing social network , get rid of depression & loneliness  after moving from India.
