Woman Care Trust celebrated International Woman’s Day at the Community Center with their members. The focus of the celebration ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation, and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievement. The function started with the speech given by Community Development Officer on the history of International Woman’s Day and started the celebration by remembering the female heroes of India. Baljit Dheil then introduced our new volunteer “Jaskirat Kaur” who will assist the ladies in their health issues twice a week at the community center. Ladies were given a chance to share the experience of their life as a “Woman”, there were few ladies who shared some incidents of their life. The fun started with playing “pass the ball” with the ladies, all of the ladies participated in the game and showed their hidden talent by enjoying in singing, playing, dancing and shared jokes. Baljit Dheil then awarded certificate to one of the member of Woman Care Trust for attending English class for six weeks as she had gone back to India. After this everyone shared their lunch which they bought from their home.

All the ladies went back home keeping in their mind the pledge of parity which will help us to continue our fight to make a Woman’s mark in the man’s world and keep celebrating this day every year with more pride and happiness.
