33rd Senior Ladies Day

Woman Care Trust successfully celebrated their 33th Senior Ladies Day on 26th March 2018 at WCT Learning Centre. About 70-80 ladies attended the event. Lots of old members attended this month due to no charge. As usual we started our function with reciting holy prayer “Chaupai Sahib Path” Prayers and Shabad by Jatha of Jasbir Kaur  from India to improves our spiritual practice, enhances our chanting, and reduces ego.After the prayers ladies did some exercise under the supervision of yoga instructor Paramjit Kaur. Exercise has countless benefits for those of all ages, including a healthier heart, stronger bones and improved flexibility. After that homemade refreshment of Tea and Indian snack “Samosa”, Indian sweets were served to the ladies and these refreshment was offered by Jasbir Kaur to celebrate her Citizenship. After the tea break Naturopathy session by Dr Kamal was organized to help the ladies in taking care of their health. The session was delivered by Dr Kamal providing information on benefits of Honey. After the session ladies played some traditional games. These games boosts Cognitive Abilities. Improves physical health, increases socialization, accelerates healing and recuperation. There are smiles and laughter among the participants which help the ladies in overcoming depression and loneliness from their life. WCT then distributed prizes to the game winners to keep them motivated and feel energetic and we honoured our guest from India by giving them a small token of our love. After playing games ladies performed Gidha to show their happiness.

After the Gidha Pizza was arranged for the ladies, they really enjoyed eating together with their friends. Spending time with the ladies improves their social network and kept them engaged. All the ladies witnessed the successful celebration of the Seniors Ladies Day and also this achievement is another step for Woman Care Trust in achieving its goal of Woman’s Wellbeing and Community Development.
