Woman Care Trust organised their 15th Senior Ladies Day on 27th June 2016 at Community Centre. About 75 ladies attended the event. The function started with warming up the ladies in cold weather with hot tea and snacks .Then the ladies recited holy prayer “Chaupai Sahib Path”. After reciting the prayer, one of the ladies sang religious song and everyone joined her in singing. The ladies got peaceful atmosphere that moment and their minds got relaxed. Our Yoga instructor Paramjit Kaur guided the ladies in doing the Yoga postures, this also helps the ladies to practice yoga in their daily routing and keep themselves physically fit and mentally healthy. Also Yoga helps the ladies in overcoming stress, boost bone health, lose weight and prevention from many other diseases for elderly ladies. After yoga, Baljit Dheil arranged some traditional games for the ladies to keep their minds sharp, body strong and spirits high , improves their memory and decision making skills. The traditional games helped to boost the participants and have both short & long term positive effect on them. Baljit Dheil then distributed prizes to the game winners to keep them motivated. The ladies forget their loneliness and boredom when they attend this function as they change to interact with new people and extend their social network. Then there was health session delivered by Dr Kamal, she gave important information to the ladies on hair fall and the natural remedies to cure it. After the session ladies had one to one interaction with Dr Kamal clearing their enquiries. In the afternoon, Indian curry with rice for the ladies lunch was arranged. The function was successful for Woman Care Trust in achieving the target of serving the community and benefiting the individuals.
